Vanessa Graham, CPA

Vanessa Graham, owner of V. Graham, LLC, began her practice in 2012 with an objective to serve and support local business owners in meeting their growth goals and overcoming challenges through business cycles. Vanessa has over 20+ years of experience as Chief Financial Officer and Controller for small to medium size businesses in the Baton Rouge area, working with business owners and private equity investors in their portfolio companies.

Vanessa began her career with KPMG in audit before joining APPRO Systems, Inc., a software development company providing auto decisioning software in the financial services industry. Vanessa played an integral role on the management team responsible for the turnaround and tremendous growth APPRO experienced from time of raising capital in 2000 through successful sale to Equifax, Inc. in 2005. She remained with Equifax for two years, successfully integrating new acquisitions into Equifax global systems and business practices. Vanessa then served as Chief Financial Officer for various businesses in the Baton Rouge area, before opening her own practice. Vanessa has been actively involved in the community for several years, including serving on the boards and committees of Thrive Charter School, First United Methodist Church, Rotary Club International, and the Louisiana Tech Park. Vanessa is a CPA and member of the LCPA and AICPA. She lives in Baton Rouge with her husband, Brent, and twins, Bennett and Olivia.

Jenée Bourgeois

Jenée has more than 13 years of experience, including eight years of providing financial leadership for nonprofit organizations and several years of public accounting experience working for esteemed CPA firms, including Beers & Cutler, PLLC in Washington D.C. and Postlethwaite & Netterville, APAC in Baton Rouge, LA. She then joined Albemarle Corporation, where she worked in their financial reporting division. Prior to joining VGraham, Jenée spent a significant portion of her career working with various non-profits, including the American Red Cross and Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge.

Jenée has been instrumental in a wide variety of projects in our practice, including implementation of general ledger software packages, streamlining financial resources and practices, and implementing effective use of systems to create efficiencies. Jenée has a track record of effectively communicating and working with boards, CEOs and directors, and connecting across various levels within an organization to strengthen and improve the skillsets of the client team that she supports. Jenée joined VGraham in 2014 and has been instrumental in expanding our practice into Lafayette. Jenée and her husband, Jim Bourgeois now live in Lafayette with their three children, Jackson, Anna James, and Sloane. Jim and Jenée are an integral part of local community efforts to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, including involvement with the Dream Day Foundation and Dreams Come True of LA. Jenée is a graduate of LSU and an active volunteer in both the Baton Rouge and Lafayette areas.

Ashley Lawson, CPA

Ashley has 25+ years of experience, including public accounting and industry. Ashley has served in leadership roles throughout our community and brings a wealth of experience to our clients in supporting them in reaching their goals and improving in various aspects of their business.

Ashley began her career with KPMG Houston in audit before returning to her hometown, Baton Rouge in 1991. She spent more than ten years with United Companies Financial Corporation in Internal Audit and later as VP of Secondary Marketing through the height of United Companies’ success in the sub-prime lending market. After several years of providing outsourced accounting services, Ashley then spent five years, serving as Chief Financial Officer of Go-Auto Insurance through its start-up phase, establishment of the management company and filings as an insurance company and through the following years of significant growth across the state and into other markets. Ashley’s role was key in establishing systems, analyzing and forecasting and building models, maintaining key partnerships and banking and finance relationships and managing a growing staff across multiple locations. Ashley lives in Baton Rouge with her husband, Court Lawson. They have 4 children, Collins, Griffon, Tanner and Anna Kirk. Ashley and her family support the community in many organizations they are involved in and enjoy traveling to see two of their children now living in Athens, Georgia and Austin, TX.

Amanda Robertson, CPA

Amanda has nearly 20 years of diverse experience within the accounting, auditing, and financial analysis industry. Prior to joining VGraham, she worked with the Edgen Group – a leading global supplier of specialized products for worldwide energy and infrastructure markets – serving as the Manager of Global Financial Reporting and later as the Manager of Tax and Treasury.

In these roles, Amanda prepared quarterly tax provisions as subsidiary companies of large-scale companies, oversaw the global treasury function, including cash forecasting, LC utilization, and bank compliance, and was responsible for compliance with various states for business licenses, franchise taxes, and annual reports. Additionally, she previously worked with the Shaw Group as a financial analyst, and a Baton Rouge-based public accounting firm, as an auditor.

Barbara Lasseigne

Barbara is a highly skilled professional with more than 30 years of experience in executive-level project and product management in software (on premise and SAAS) mobile apps, and business process improvement. She has successfully managed hundreds of software projects, budgets, and timelines, as well as process improvement efforts, for clients ranging in size from Fortune 100 businesses to small, local clients spanning a variety of industries, including financial services, oil and gas, construction, medical, and retail. Barbara has a proven history of building strong relationships with software vendors and partners to lead successful software integrations and streamline operations.

In her role at V. Graham, Barbara leads the implementation of software integration projects, works closely with clients in the public and private sectors to improve and automate operational business processes, and coordinates training efforts to support the successful adoption of new systems and technologies. Barbara is adept in identifying business requirements, defining business processes, and developing SOPs to streamline workflows and build operational efficiencies.

Prior to joining V. Graham in 2019, Barbara served as Project Manager and Competency Manager for Project Management at Envoc, an award-winning digital marketing & software development firm, where she led the design, development, and launch of two of the company’s products: Spotter, a mobile app for inspections and BubbleVision, a web-based bubble sheet grading software. Barbara was responsible for developing and executing the post-launch marketing, sales and product roadmaps. She has previously served as Director of Product Management for CRIF Lending Solutions and Equifax Enabling Technologies where she was responsible for setting the strategic direction and developing the roadmap of the CRIF ACTion suite of loan origination systems, totaling nine products across 600 clients (47+ million annual revenue).

Kim Ford

Kim Ford is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in management, financial planning, and analysis. She works with all levels of management to “explain the story the numbers are telling.” For example, Kim has worked with senior-level management to develop five-year strategic and annual operating plans for communication to the Board of Directors and to operating management for implementation. In addition, she has worked with National Account Managers to propose product placement, pricing, and geographic strategies for key accounts. Kim also has direct experience working alongside the sales, finance, operations, and marketing teams to implement these strategies.

Prior to joining VGraham, Kim was the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager for United WELD Holdings for four years. In this role, she was responsible for preparing annual budgets and mid-year forecasts, quarterly Board Meeting materials, and monthly reporting packages. She focused on Business Development prospect projections, backlog updates, cash management, capital expenditures, and KPIs. For over 17 years, Kim worked in various analytical roles for Community Coffee. She led the preparation of five-year strategic plans, operating plans, and current year forecasts and associated Board level presentation materials. She was an integral part of the Grocery National Account sales team supporting growth recommendations, product placement, and pricing analysis. Kim is experienced in providing strategic and financial analyses and guidance to executives while collaborating with all levels of management to address specific initiatives including new business strategies, new product ventures, existing business performance, cost saving analyses, and operation efficiency justifications.

Lori Carter, CPA

Lori has over 20 years of diverse experience as a financial controller, financial analyst, and business manager. She has been instrumental in implementing transformational initiatives to improve operational and financial processes and brings a vast amount of expertise in financial reporting, forecasting, and knowledge of enterprise-wide analytics.

Prior to joining the VGraham team, Lori served as the Executive Director, Financial Controller for Stuller, Inc., the largest fine jewelry manufacturer in North America. She spent a large portion of her career at Stuller, working her way up from financial analyst to director of financial reporting to executive director, financial controller. Before her tenured career at Stuller, Lori was a staff accountant at Postlethwaite & Netterville.

Rowdy Gaudet

Rowdy Gaudet, Director at V. Graham, brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in strategic planning, organizational leadership, and community service to the firm’s stellar team. With the goal of enhancing the firm’s mission to guide clients through the complexities of financial growth and strategy, Rowdy is poised to lead the development and execution of V. Graham’s strategic growth initiatives.

Spanning over two decades, his career is marked by pivotal leadership roles in organizations across public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Notably, as an elected Metropolitan Council Member for East Baton Rouge Parish, Rowdy has demonstrated a keen ability to govern with a focus on policy solutions that enhance local government services and the quality of life for residents. His experience is further distinguished by significant contributions to business and community resilience efforts, underpinning his deep commitment to community and business development in Louisiana.

Rowdy’s professional journey reflects his commitment to effective governance and fiscal responsibility. In his most recent role as Vice President of Mission at Franciscan High School, he assembled the nonprofit’s five-year strategic plan, aligning all operations with the institution’s core mission and values. His role as Managing Director at Emergent Method saw him drive staff growth and manage strategic objectives that catered to diverse client needs. His keen insights and strategic leadership were instrumental in his tenure as Assistant Chief Administrative Officer in the Office of the Mayor-President of Baton Rouge, managing significant budgets and improving service delivery to residents.

Earlier in his career, Rowdy served as Chief of Staff and Infrastructure Director at the State of Louisiana’s Disaster Recovery Unit, advising on and implementing over $14 billion in recovery grants. His legislative acumen was honed as Legislative Director for the Office of the Lieutenant Governor and as a consultant for James Lee Witt Associates. The beginnings of his journey in public service can be traced back to his tenure as Public Information Officer for the City of Lake Charles, where he established the first Office of Public Information.

Rowdy resides in Baton Rouge with his wife, Wendy, and their four children.
